Terms of Service
Last updated: August 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Meem app and its features. Meem is developed by banimo.net. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Looking for the app itself? Back to Meem.
1. About Meem
Meem is an AI meeting note taker developed by banimo.net. It records meetings and turns them into transcripts, summaries, decisions, and action items.
Meem is a note-taking aid. It is not a certified transcription service or a legal record, and it should not be relied on as evidence of what was said.
2. Recording is your responsibility
You decide what to record, and you are responsible for recording lawfully. Consent rules differ by country and by state, and many require every participant to agree before recording starts. Tell the room and get consent where it is required.
You confirm that you have the right to record and process every meeting you bring into Meem, including any personal information the participants share in it. If someone asks you to stop or to delete a recording, that is between you and them, and the app gives you the delete button.
3. Eligibility
You may use Meem only if you are able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you are using the app on behalf of an employer or a client, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for them.
4. Your content stays yours
Your recordings, transcripts, and notes belong to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the app for you — storing your content, sending it for transcription and AI processing, and returning the result. We do not use your content to train models.
Content kept only on your device is yours to keep and yours to lose: uninstalling the app, resetting the device, or clearing the app's data removes it, and we cannot restore it for you.
5. What the AI gets wrong
Transcription and summarisation are automated. Names, numbers, jargon, and crosstalk are the usual casualties, and a summary can miss nuance or attribute something to the wrong person. Everything is editable — read it before you act on it or send it on.
Output is provided "as is" without any guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Do not use it for legal, medical, financial, or other professional purposes without checking it yourself.
6. Acceptable use
When using Meem, you agree not to:
- Record anyone unlawfully or without the consent the law requires.
- Use the app to surveil people, or to capture conversations you have no right to capture.
- Upload content you do not have the rights to process.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems.
- Resell or redistribute the service as your own.
7. Intellectual property
Meem, including its name, design, features, and original content, is owned by banimo.net and protected by applicable laws. You receive a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the app. No other rights are granted.
8. Plans and payments
Meem may offer free and paid usage, including limits on how much audio can be processed. Any price, limit, and billing term is shown in the app before you confirm anything. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by the app store you installed from, under that store's terms.
9. Service availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update or pause the app from time to time. We aim to keep it running smoothly but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Some features depend on your device, your microphone, or your internet connection.
10. Disclaimers
Meem is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, banimo.net will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of recordings, transcripts, or notes, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Meem.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Termination
You may stop using Meem at any time by removing it from your device. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or if it is needed to protect the app or its users.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and may notify you in the app. Continuing to use Meem after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
