httpAgent app iconPrivacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how httpAgent handles information when you use the app. httpAgent is developed by banimo.net. The short version: we keep as little as we can.

Looking for the app itself? Back to httpAgent.

The short version

httpAgent works on your device. The traffic you capture, the decrypted content, and the certificate used for decryption stay on your iPhone. We don't run a server that receives any of it, there is no account to create, and we don't sell your information or show you ads.

Captured traffic

To capture traffic, httpAgent sets up an on-device VPN that runs entirely on your iPhone. It is not a VPN service: your traffic is not routed through our servers or anyone else's, and it goes on to its normal destination. Requests, responses, headers, and bodies you capture are processed and stored locally in the app. They are never sent to us.

Captured traffic can include sensitive information, like passwords, tokens, cookies, or personal data. You are in charge of what you capture, keep, export, or share. If you export or share a capture using iOS share features, it goes wherever you send it, and that is outside our control.

HTTPS decryption and the certificate

To read HTTPS traffic, httpAgent creates a certificate on your device, which you choose to install and trust in iOS Settings. Its private key is created and kept on your device. We never receive it.

Trusting a certificate like this lowers the protection HTTPS normally gives you on that device. Only install it on devices you use for development or testing, and remove it from iOS Settings when you no longer need it.

What we don't collect

  • No account, email address, or sign-in.
  • No captured traffic, decrypted content, or certificate keys.
  • No advertising or tracking across other apps and websites.

Subscriptions and payments

Purchases are made through the App Store and managed with RevenueCat, our payment provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history so the app knows what you have unlocked. We never see or store your card details. Apple's and RevenueCat's own privacy policies apply to the data they handle.

Crash reports

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings.

Your choices

  • Delete captures inside the app whenever you like.
  • Turn off or remove httpAgent's VPN and certificate in iOS Settings.
  • Uninstall the app to remove everything it stored on your device.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the date above when we do. Continuing to use httpAgent after a change means you accept the updated policy.
