These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Elano app. Elano is developed by banimo.net, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's standard EULA. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About Elano

Elano is an iPhone app that guides you through a face scan and uses AI to give you cosmetic insights about your skin, along with a suggested skincare routine. To create your report, your scan photos and skin answers are analysed by a third-party AI service, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

2. Cosmetic insights, not medical advice

Elano is for general cosmetic and skincare information only. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Scores and findings are estimates based on what is visible in your photos. They can be affected by lighting, camera quality and other factors, and they may be wrong.

Don't use Elano to decide whether you need medical care, and don't ignore or delay professional advice because of something the app says. If you have a concern about your skin, such as a changing mole, a spot that won't heal, pain or a reaction, please see a doctor or dermatologist. Check product labels and ask a professional before using new products, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or have sensitive skin.

3. Apple's standard EULA

We have chosen to use Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”) rather than replacing it with our own. Your licence to use Elano is granted under the Apple EULA. These Terms add to it. If anything in these Terms conflicts with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA applies.

4. Who can use Elano

You must be at least 13 years old to use Elano. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the app with the permission of a parent or guardian.

5. Subscriptions

Some features of Elano require an auto-renewing subscription (for example weekly or yearly). The price and length of each plan are shown in the app before you buy.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the same price unless we told you about a change in advance.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID's Account Settings on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
  • Subscriptions are managed with the help of RevenueCat. We never see your card details.

6. Acceptable use

When using Elano, please don't do the following. We may limit or stop access for anyone who does:

  • Scan anyone other than yourself without their clear permission, or anyone under 13.
  • Upload photos you don't have the right to use.
  • Try to copy, reverse engineer, resell or get around the app, its subscription, its scan limits or its security checks.
  • Send automated or excessive requests to our servers, or try to access them other than through the app.
  • Use the app for anything illegal or harmful.

7. Intellectual property

Elano, including its name, design, illustrations, text and software, belongs to banimo.net and is protected by law. Your photos stay yours. You let us process them only to create your report, as described in the Privacy Policy. The reports the app creates are for your own personal use.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Elano running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that every scan will succeed. We may change, pause or remove features, and we may update these Terms. When we update them we'll change the date above, and if you keep using Elano after that, the new Terms apply.

9. Disclaimers

Elano is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about the accuracy of the analysis, or that following the suggested routine will lead to any particular result for your skin.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, banimo.net is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for skin reactions or other outcomes from products or routines you choose to use, arising from your use of Elano or inability to use it.

Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Elano in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Sweden, with Gothenburg District Court as the first instance. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
